Our accommodation

Completed as our family holiday home in 2006, Cnoc a' Chlachain is built in the style of a traditional croft house.

Hike the nearby trails, walk on the beach (maybe even have a dip if the weather allows!), a round of golf or visit places of historic interest. No matter how you spend your holiday, you'll come away with lifelong memories to share with your family and friends.

Be sure to check out our photo gallery of the house and its surroundings.

The name of our cottage - Cnoc a' Chlachain - is the gaelic name to describe its location: hillock in a hamlet (with a small Mission House in our case).  The Mission House is long gone (but not from our memories) and the stone of the Mission House is now making up the enclosure for the sheep dipping & shearing at the bottom of the hill - a 'fank'.  Our little hamlet is called Collam locally which is within the larger township known as Cluer.

Our house has views "over the sea to Skye" to the East while to the West we look towards Loch Mhic Neacail.  Keep an eye out for the local heron and you may even spot an otter.
